The Road - Cormac McCarthy
If you are still on the fence about the need to prepare for possible future emergencies and other unforseen events and need a little motivation to get you moving, or if you simpy enjoy ready quality writing with a thought provoking plot, I recommend you read The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

No amount of preparation is going to be of use in "the road" scenario. Better to just be one of the first to die. Who in their right mind would want to survive in that sort of world.

ReplyDeleteTrue enough, McCarthy's "The Road" takes the idea of survival to the extreme, but it did get me thinking. It actually opened my eyes to issues and situations that never really considered before reading the book.
